Bath Spa University

Bath Spa University – The Department of Education Studies at Bath Spa University started its link with Mufulira Teacher Training College in 2004 and since then a group of about 15 students from the college has visited Mufulira for three weeks each year on a work experience programme. While there, they are partnered by a student from the Teacher Training College. The UK students stay at the IntroZambia hostel, and each of them has a week’s experience at each of a government school, a private school, and a community school. One or two of the Training College staff have managed to make self-financed visits back to UK. The University would very much like to invite Zambian students back to UK to make the exchange truly reciprocal.
Community Links

Community Links – A number of non-school local organisations in the Castle Cary area have links with their opposite numbers in Mufulira. CMCPT plays an important role as an “umbrella” organisation which supports the groups through the more difficult times, and celebrates with them when they are more successful.
Current links

Current links include All Saints’ and St Andrews in Castle Cary linked with St Bernard Miseki in Butondo, Mufulira and the Yeovale Rotary Club, with additional support from Brue Valley Rotary Club, linked with The Rotary Club of Mufulira.
