And there were many more of us too...including Andrew Mutambo and Mabvuto Chibende from Zambia.

Our Feb 25th AGM was ground-breaking. Thanks to our Chair, Gail Carroll, this important moment for any charitable organization, was held for the first time virtually. In some ways it allowed attendees to be more prominent than at a typical sit down affair. All business was achieved quite quickly after which we listened to a talk by Louise Boston-Mammah, co-founder of The Inclusion Agency www.whereareyoureallyfrom.co.uk. She is of mixed Sierra Leone and British heritage and talked about issues of growing up mixed race in rural Dorset. At the heart of her talk were some individual stories and a plea to advance studies and understanding about how diverse British culture has always been, and how a better understanding of this history could reduce prejudice. At the end of the evening we heard directly from Andrew Mutambo from his sitting room in Mufulira about his own serious brush with Covid and local opinions about vaccination. With the success of this experiment, it is fervently hoped that further themed discussions with our friends and colleagues in Zambia will be possible.
